Dr. Miranda Reed Cleaver grew up in Chatsworth, Georgia, a small town in the northwest corner of the state. From an early age, she knew two things for certain: she wanted to help people, and she wanted to come home to Georgia to do it.
That journey took her to the University of Georgia in Athens, where she earned her bachelor's degree in biology in 2006. From there, she headed to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine's Georgia Campus in Suwanee to pursue her medical degree. Her osteopathic training shaped the way she thinks about pain and the body as a whole, not just isolated symptoms, but the full picture of how pain affects a person's life.
After medical school, Dr. Reed Cleaver completed her residency in anesthesiology at McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. She stayed on for a fellowship in pain management, where she honed her skills in the interventional procedures that would become the foundation of her practice. During those years, she trained extensively in spinal injections, nerve blocks, stimulator implants, and other advanced techniques designed to treat pain at its source.
After fellowship, Dr. Reed Cleaver established a pain management practice serving two hospitals in Northern Missouri. She gained valuable experience treating a wide range of chronic pain conditions and building relationships with patients who trusted her with their care. But through it all, her heart was set on one thing: coming back to Georgia.
That dream became a reality with the creation of Cleaver Medical Group Interventional Pain. Today, she serves patients from Cumming, Georgia, bringing specialized pain care into the community.
Dr. Reed Cleaver's professional focus includes lumbar and cervical pain, particularly conditions caused by damaged spinal discs. She also specializes in complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), thoracic pain, knee and shoulder pain, osteoarthritis, and spinal cord stimulation.
She is honest with her patients. She will never promise a pain-free life. But what she can promise is a dedicated effort to reduce your overall pain burden and improve your quality of life. Her goal for every single patient is the same: get you back to the daily activities and routines that matter to you.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Reed Cleaver is spending time with her family. And if there is a Georgia Bulldogs game on, you can bet she is watching. Always a Bulldog at heart, she brings that same loyalty and dedication to her patients and her practice every single day.
Pain shouldn't be your normal. Book your first appointment and take the first step toward feeling like yourself again.
